. So we walked around to see what was open free of charge. After about 20 minutes we found a place called Meza. It was awesome; we all got a drink and then found out their basement was a club and free of charge at 1 AM for girls. So we headed down there at one and it was so cool. It was a salsa-dancing bar; a man asked me to dance and I warned him I had no experience, but he insisted that I tried. I would not say I was any good at salsa dancing, but it ended up being really really fun! We took the night buses home, which were very reliable and got us home safely. Saturday CAPA set up a London Panoramic tour for four hours that was included with our tuition. With the amount of sites that we saw it was definitely worth it. The tour guide was really funny and knew anything and everything about London. I would say that their guides are much more educated than any other tour I have been on. I want to revisit all the buildings and go to the museums they showed us that are free of charge eventually. I am hoping to go to one museum/gallery every week.
To name a few places we saw
House of Parliament
A lot of places that Princess Diana loved
. Paul Cathedral
Covent Square-where my internship is located!
There were so many more places; I will put pictures up so you can see all of them. So last night there were some big football games, so we went to a pub called the Sports Café. I got to see my Packers win even all the way from London! It was awesome and there were a ton of kids from the U of M out from all of the colleges around London, so that was pretty cool too! I am definitely going to be wearing Packer gear there next week and then when the Twins start playing I will head there again! We stayed out very late considering the fact that the Packer game did not even start until 1 AM. We bussed home again on the late night bus, but got off on the wrong stop so we had to walk a bit more than necessary. That's fine though it was a great experience! That’s all I can think about blogging right now, I will update as soon as possible again. My interview is tomorrow so I am very excited/nervous.
Hello again, it is Sunday 4 PM here. Today, I am getting organized so I can start this year off right! I need some last minute Tesco/Sainsbury items (Target/grocery store in London) items! I started off by doing laundry, which takes FOREVER. And it is so small that you basically have to do laundry every two days, I am definitely not used to that ha-ha! On Friday after we had a police safety orientation we had tea with CAPA at the Regency Hotel. It was a beautiful hotel and I got my first cup of English tea. However, the tea was so good I had six cups. A lot of the staff and organizers from CAPA were there and they are so awesome, supportive, and extremely helpful. With one of the speeches our director gave I finally got the chills and realized I was in London ready to change my life forever! This experience is going to be unreal and I am more than excited to immerse myself in this culture! Friday we went out at night trying to go to a Pub Crawl, however, since we were used to American bars closing at 2 we went out too late and by the time we actually found the bar the crawl was done
