Well it's 6 AM and I cannot sleep by any means, so I am going to blog. So to clear things up…. we never took the tube; the amount of luggage we had was ridiculous and would have been just about impossible to get to the apartment…let alone it was a ten minute walk from the station to our apartment (minus getting lost) so we took a cab…3 girls and a lot of luggage! It was 20 pounds, which was not bad and I will definitely do that on the way back to the airport as well. Much more convenient and there is no chance there will be pick pocketing.   Today we had orientation, there was quite a bit of information, some useful, some not.  It’s so weird though because I almost feel like I am in the dorms again.  My interview for the internship is on Monday, even though you are guaranteed a spot you still have to go through the full process as if you were not already chosen.  I am really excited about where I will be working! However, I will give more details about my internship when I know much more about it!  A couple of girls and I still needed to put money on our phones because we are required to have them for our internship and just in case for an emergency it’s always safe knowing that I will have a phone.  Not too mention, I had to call Wells Fargo because apparently when we use an ATM here you can only have a four digit pin code…my current pin is 8 digits.  So we went over by Victoria’s Station and found a CarPhone, but had quite the experience with it.  We got lost took some wrong turns, but met some awesome people that gave us great advice!  While getting lost we ended up roaming around streets and seeing some cool places to check out, not only that, but getting lost actually helped out my sense of direction.  I feel like I know where I am and I have already figured out the tube stations for the most part!  I have been making peanut butter sandwiches to save as much money for traveling, but tonight we wanted to go out and see the Londoners lifestyle.  We went to a pub down King’s Road.  Huge shopping street; craziest thing I have ever seen!  The pub was really fun, I just got the pints of Stella, so tasty compared to something like Mich golden light in the US.  I got carded and they were very hesitant because my Minnesota ID is so flimsy and I was with no one from MN.  Everyone else’s licenses were hard.  We stayed there for a bit and then were going to go to this club in South Kensington, however, we were not dressed appropriately and got turned down so we came back to our flat and just chilled and had some wine.  Which by the way I will have to get used to drinking because it is the most cheap thing there is to drink here. Sorry, if any of this writing is crazy and does not make sense, but remember I am on about zero sleep haha!   Just to throw it out there, I love this city already and I am so excited for my next three months of school to be here!

Hi Amelia! Jacki had problems with her ATM in Mexico-they paid her back for some of the phonecalls. Save your receipt for your phonecall to them since you went to the bank in the US to see what you should do. Good luck on your interview-Monday. So what is the dress code for clubs? Love reading your blog!

The dress code for clubs is dresses, boys have to wear nice jeans with a button up or nice shoes or slacks/suits.
