Huge Flea Market and some Good 'Ole Watering Holes

We also came to a realization this weekend that we have yet to find our "cheers" i.e. our neighborhood watering hole where we can frequent and consider our own
. Now we have been to a number of bars here so far, but trying to compare it to what we left (the amazing and memorable Coastal Ale House and Quigleys) was very difficult. We were pointed in the direction of a number of places all next to eachother on Phrom Pom- the next main road over from ours. Ironically, all the bars on this road are named after big cities in Europe, specifically the Londoner and the Dubliner. Unfortunately as far as we looked there was no Hollander, Conwayer, or Pawleys Islander. So we went into both of the places and sampled their local fare. It was great. We watched a few games at the Londoner and then went to the Dubliner to watch my Arsenal Gunners get robbed of a win. The Dubliner was so good that we went back the next morning for Breakfast. The breakfast that you see in the picture was about $3.89 USD each. Insane cheap and so good. We think we are going to make this our home away from home.
flea market in Chatuchak- a city just north of downtown Bangkok. So we took a bunch of Baht and headed down there. Ok. Wow. This place is massive. It is about the size of 5 football fields and literally has everything from plants to music to clothes, whatever. They have it all there. Long story short we spent the whole afternoon there and pretty much bought out have of the market. We bought a bunch of clothes, a number of paintings for the house, and most importantly some chairs and a couch! (although the couch is nowhere near as good as my old futon...i miss the old girl). But we pretty much got everything that we needed for our place it now actually looks like our own. Cant wait for you all to hopefully visit and check everything out.
