Khama Rhino Santuary

Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Departed at 8 am from Mokolodi and stopped in Gabarone to get breakfast, money and find a spot with Wifi. We succeeded with the first two but found the free Wifi totally inadequate for updating our blog. We tried to buy a data sim card from a nearby shop but found we needed to register with the service provider and this shop did not offer this service. Proceeded north to Khama Rhino Santuary for our overnight stop. On route we stopped at a small service provider and secured the registration of a sim card and purchased data with the Orange Network to enable us to update our blog.On arrival at Khama we were told that Orange did not have reception in the area so our efforts where in vain.Khama Rhino Santuary is a must visit destination. The campsites are beautiful and all positioned under Mokongwa Trees with privacy, running water and neat  communal abolutions. The park was wonderfully green and soo, soo beautiful. We have always travelled Botswana in the dry season but we recommend a wet season holiday if you are prepared to put up with the daily thunderstorms.
