Sorry it took so long to write. The first few days here have been busy. I finally made it to Scotland. I had a pretty good flight, with a hectic transfer in Heathrow. The town of Dalkeith is cute with many pubs, take out shops and stores. It is just up the drive from our house so a very short walk.

The people at the house are a blast and I'm making many friends. My roommates are a lot of fun and we hang out together alot. The locals here are super friendly for the most part. We went into a local pub the first night. It was race night and the pub was crowded with people placeing bets. People came up and introduced themselves, even explaining how the race night worked. The next night we went to a pub that had karaoke which was a blast. I danced with men in kilts and they taught us some Scottish songs.

Our first Sunday night there was a Caleigh dance at the house Making Dinner

. We spent 2 hours doing some traditional Scottish dancing. It was so much fun. We also went into Edinburgh the first weekend which I'll write about in another entry.

The first day of classes went well. I'm really excited about my psychology of religion class and my Scottish globalisation class which is with a Scottish prof.

This weekend we are going up to the highlands, loch ness and Isle of Skye. Should be fun and I'll be taking lots of photos. Our first travel weekend I'll probably stay here and do some day tours around here as well as visit Edinburgh for some museums and such. Things are great here so far. I'm having a much better time than the Ireland program and happy to be here.

Cheers!
