Most of our host families took us to Space World. It was a nice experience that we could not get in Hawaii. They had a rollercoaster that rose straight up and sent the passengers hurling down, and one that went in loops for what felt like hours. I already miss my host family, and they were very nice. They made me feel at home. I miss my host family, I miss my family, but I do not Brett.

My home stay took me to Kokura castle, which had a fun running game where you had to run in place and try to beat an old man in a race across Japan. Only one person was able to beat him and that was Nobutaka Yagi, Andrew's home stay. At the castle I got a souvenir coin with my name stamped on it, along with a pendant. The next day, we went to Space World. I saw a lot of my friends there, and got to ride the Zaturn, which is a roller coaster that goes incredibly fast and takes you straight up, then straight down. This all takes about 12 seconds. And no, I didn't misspell Zaturn, it is really spelled like that, not like Saturn. After that, they took me shopping at the Aeon shopping mall, where I got to buy omiyage at an electronics store, as well as a 100 yen shop. See you all soon!

The adventure continues...
Kyushu sounds sugoi! We'll have to get down there next time we're in Japan. Glad you're all having fun, and doing things you can't do at home. And Ryan, Brett really DOES miss you -- he'd just rather die than admit it. Kinda like somebody else I could name...;) Stripes is looking forlorn, but we're taking extra care of him (Brett is too).

Space World
I've been to that Space World. I wasn't sure till I saw that rabbit in Kristen's picture. Wow, that was 16 years ago. I bet it has changed quite a bit. We'll have to compare pictures.

I'm glad you are all having fun. It doesn't sound like anyone is homesick yet.

Hi CJ... from Mom and Dad
Nice to see a picture of you with your host family (you should smile)! I hope you're taking some pictures as well. Tutu said Maggie and Zowie miss you and keep looking for you. Grandpa bought a new car... Pontiac G8... Tutu didn't even notice, just thought he had new wheels. Take care and enjoy yourself! Love, mom & dad

Hi Amy
Looks like you guys had fun with your homestay families. It was good to see you smiling as you danced hula. Dad and Nolan keep talking about Nolan's JST (2 years ago). We miss you but know you're having the time of your life. Hope you're taking good pictures, getting enough rest, eating well, and making some unbelieveable memories. Love you - Mom
