Where I stayed
Shouhakuen Hotel

It is a quiet Sunday morning in Fukuoka, the kids are all at their homestay families. Brandon got his wallet back yesterday. We all met last night for an elegant dinner at the Shouhakuen Hotel. Chris Tokita did a good job of leading the students in the Mele Kahea with his ipu. Our students were definitely feeling the effects of jet lag, but they did very well and I was proud of them. Chloe's host family had taken her on a trip, so she wasn't there and Jadyne did her part with the pu'ilis. Amy wasn't feeling well, so she didn't hula, but Lyndsey and Kate danced well while the students sang Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Kaneohe. Kristen gave a nice welcoming speech. Afterwords, there was a lot of picture taking and good interaction between the kids.

Happy Mother's Day! & you all look maahvelous
Hi! First - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to Muraki Sensei & Keri. Thank you for being away for your families to be with our kids.
Thank you for the update on Brandon. I am glad he found his money or he might be starving soon. Please remind him to wear the thing on his neck & he can't go wrong. Other messages for Brandon: Byran's mom said your team won 9-0 today. Dad says in the NBA, Detroit beat Orlando & Utah beat LA. Cleveland is beating Boston right now. Glad to hear you are all having a blast. I knew you would! You all look great, including the teachers & chaperones! Brandon, thanks for the email as well. Mom

Wow...
Everyone looks so handsome and beautiful! Sounds like you all did an awesome job at the Welcome dinner and the pictures sure reflect that!

Hope you're feeling better Amy and enjoying this great experience!

How was your home stays?

Looks like we're coming up on another opportunity to see Chloe in a dress. Someone please capture the kodak moment for us! Sorry, Chloe, don't mean to embarass you. We know you look good in a dress even though it's not your first choice of attire.

Enjoy the rest of your study tour that must be flying by! Take a lot of pictures! Do you still remember what Mrs. Kawaguchi taught you about framing and lighting and old vs. new, etc.?

Looking forward to the next entry! Thanks much for taking the time to share your tour with us! We're really enjoying this a lot!
