Well, yet again not sure where i got upto with the blog, so if i repeat myself yet again im sorry!!
We left Bangkok and headed to Krabi, which is the main town you stay in to get to all the other smaller islands. We caught the boat over to Phi Phi for some well deserved sun, sand, and snorkeling! after travelling hard ( you lot with the dirty minds i can guess what else you were thinking) Ha! Phi Phi was really nice, was quite busy tho full of all us backpackers which was fun. We went on a few island trips to where they filmed the beach etc and just basically chilled out and did a lot of nothing apart from watching the footie which was great!! Come on you Blades, and drinking and eating far to much..........
After Phi Phi we went to Ko Lanta, about 2 hours on the boat from Phi Phi. A really nice small island. Hired some motor bikes and went through the jungle on roads that i didnt think we could ever get to. At leaast im still here to write this thats all i can say!! We ended up right at the bottom of the Island in a National Park that was just beautiful with Monkeys and Snakes!!! We managed to do the whole Island on the Motor bikes which was just fantastic, its a really nice place very different to everywhere else we have been so far, lots of Muslims there and not many Thai so the culture is a lot more relaxed then other parts we have been to.
From Ko Lanta we headed back to Phuket, we went to Patong but didnt stay there too long was a bit like Bangkok!! So we headed to a place called Karon about 8km from Patong, for 5 days. Was really really nice. Wicked beach, and so chilled out and quiet. Didnt get hassled to buy more clothes which was nice. My backpack is that full i think i need to be selling then stuff.....
We went to a place called Dino Bar, which is like a crazy golf course but the theme is based upon the Flintstones so funny but amazing to see.
After leaving sunny Karon we headed for Ko Samui, where we still are, well intill tomorrow anyway. Weve been her 6 days now and am ready for a change. Have done loads here, lots of Beach Partys, snorkelling, and Island trips. We went to see the Mumified Monk yesterday which was bizzare to say the least. Apparently the monk died while he was meditating so they decided to mumify his body there and then. They also say that he predicted his own death too. Its wierd to see, but really interesting. We then headed off to see the Big Budda at Big Budda Beach. It really is big, and defo worth seeing, although i do feel a bit templed out after Angkor Wat!! Weve been to all the other parts of the Island on the bikes etc and Ko Samui has some amazing beaches, but time to move on now.....
Were heading to Ko Pan Yang tomorrow for the Full Moon Party with 10,000 other party goers so it should be interesting to say the least. Will let you all know..........
Heading to Ko Tao, after Ko pan yang for a few days. Am going to do a Padi diving course and some snorkeling so am really looking forward to that. Its supposed to be one of the best places in the world to go diving so will let you know......
Hope everybody is well. Keep in touch, its good to hear what you are all upto.
Take care. Miss you all loads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
