Wednesday. We left at 10:00 a.m. for Treasure Cay, a mere 18 miles away and had a great sail. Around 2 pm we were anchored in the beautiful little harbor. After registering we couldn't wait to go sit in the powdered sugar sand and look at one of the world's most beautiful beaches. We contemplated the beauty and then had an early dinner at the Cocoa Beach Bar & Grill a few steps from the water. On our way back to the boat we noticed a small Hunter sailboat anchored in front of us from Chesterfield MI. The owners soon arrived and dingied over to us and couldn't believe we were also from MI. They are John & Kathy and have just arrived in the Bahamas after bringing their boat all the way from Chesterfield MI, beginning in August of 2011. Can't believe it but John actually had an Albatross Yacht Club t-shirt on with the 2009 Race Series imprinted on the back. He also has a Kent Sail main! We will meet them at 6 pm tomorrow for pizza night at the Tipsy Seagull.
