Sunday and Monday we walked the strip in South Beach, ate a great lunch, did laundry. The Miami skyline is gorgeous. All the tall buildings are lit up at night and one actually changes colors.
Tuesday, had a meeting on Vespera to discuss our plans for crossing the gulf.
Wednesday, Feb. 15 we left at 8:30 a.m. and motored 6 miles south to Dinner Key's mooring field, right next to Coconut Grove. Friends from last year, Bud & Eileen on Sea Camp are next to us and we rode the dingy over to Lison Life and chatted with Dirk & Sylvie who just returned from a 3 year circumnavigation. It was so good to see them. Our plan right now is to move the boat across the bay to No Name Harbor and spend the night at anchor tomorrow night and at 8:00 am Friday, begin the trip to Nassau. It's supposed to take 28-30 hours. We keep checking the forecast to make sure it hasn't changed. We'll update this blog early Friday morning if all goes as planned.
