. We also ran into Jack on the street and he gave us the low down on Marsh Harbor marina where he is staying waiting for his crew to join him. For lunch we met Bud & Eileen at Conky Joe's for more conch! We had the grouper burger and fries and more conch fritters. Just can't get enough of it. Conky Joe's is a house boat tied to a dock (see picture). Next stop Maxwells for a few provisions. Meats and produce were not that expensive, but fruit juice was $7.99 a bottle and paper products were very expensive as was beer and pop. We knew this ahead of time so we stocked up. We drove Jack back to his marina and checked out the anchorage .There were over 100 boats anchored. Marsh Harbor is the 3rd largest city in the Bahamas but they have only one traffic light. We were glad to leave the bumper to bumper traffic and the noise behind us and get back to our peaceful little harbor with only 9 boats anchored and the only traffic is from golf carts. In the evening Den lit the oil lamp and we had a candle burning with Sade singing her heart out. It was a great ending to a fun-filled day.
Thursday, March 3 - 8:00 a.m. we went ashore with Chad & Julie to rent a car so we can drive to Marsh Harbor (20 miles away). Chad can refill his propane tank and we can check out the marina where Jack from Odyssey is staying and also the anchorage. We want to shop for groceries at Maxwell's, the largest grocery store on Abaco Island. Driving on the left hand side of the road in a car with the steering wheel on the right side was a scary experience for all of us. The car had no rear suspension so we felt every pot hole, but it got us there. We found a place to park and walked along Front Street. We ran into Bud & Eileen from Sea Camp looking for a coffee shop. They've been here a few days and have been taking the dingy ashore to shop and go to internet cafes and restaurants. It was good to see them again. Sunday they are heading further south to Little Harbor. We hope to see them again soon. We checked out all the gift shops and bought a few shirts and also had conch fritters mid-morning
