Wednesday, March 2 - Today we rented bikes and explored the island. We followed the shoreline north and found the most beautiful villas in the world with a view of the turquoise water (see attached photos). We wandered back on the main road out of town and found a school with a single school bus and a tiny restaurant called Burner's. Chris Burner, the owner, was also the entertainer at last night's bbq. We had some great cracked conch and rice. With a full belly we continued our ride and turned south. Once back in town we found ourselves on the street to Sand Bank Point, which curves around in the Sea of Abaco. All roads lead back to the marina and 3 hours later we turned in the bikes. We went a total of 7 miles. Tonight we are all invited to Allegria, as Dale & Mercedes are making dinner and margaritas. She is serving a delicious tortilla espanola and a great salad and homemade rice pudding. Dale & Mercedes were such gracious hosts. The evening began with all 6 of us sipping a Margarita and munching on fois grois (goose liver pate), then we had red & white wine with and after dinner. Thank you Allegria and welcome Mercedes.
