We were taken through the cellars and shown how the wine was fermented then racked into oak casks.
We then were brought into a large room where we sampled three different vintages of Chianti. This was then followed by a small glass of Vin Santo, a traditional after dinner liquor served with almond cookies.
This trip has certainly shown me the wonder and delight of wineries. I can't wait to return to the States and explore the many jems of the Napa Valley.
