FLASH BULLETIN: Before I start with Chennai I should warn viewers that all the lovely pictures have to stop for now, as Indonesia has barely got the internet(!!) let alone a usb hub or windows xp which I need to upload them (I wish!).

We didn't really do much in Chennai but enjoy each other's company before I went to Indonesia and Marcus carried on in India. We visited the beach, the largest courts of law next to the Royal Courts of Justice in London (lawyers on tour..), the Fort museum representing 400 years of British rule in India (as well as Dutch and French) with some impressive paintings of all the Governers of Madras, Queen Victoria and so on.

We also went to the cinema and went sari shopping for my cousin's wedding in December. That was an experience! The main jewellery and sari road is supposed to be feverpitch during wedding season, but if what we saw was off-season then it's hard to imagine people come out alive! It was incredible to walk into department stores four or five stories tall and see reams upon reams of the most beautiful coloured saris I had ever seen. I bought two pure silk saris and will have to get them stitched in Malaysia, as one piece of material must be deconstructed to produce a sari blouse to match. It was incredibly hard to choose! But I can't wait to try them on. We looked at every imaginable colour and fabric, including wedding saris which were unreal.
