Bangalore was disgusting. There's no other word for it. For the first time I could fully comprehend that India has 1.2 billion people and they have a severe problem. There were so many people I couldn't believe it, literally everywhere. I also read in The Hindu newspaper that 35% of the population is under 15, so growth appears to be increasing from exponential to hyper-exponential, which is very worrying. The city is relatively affluent due to it being the IT capital of India, but they have such bad pollution I thought we were going to pass out. Never before have I seen smog so thick. I couldn't see 200m down the road! The traffic lanes on average are 6 lanes wide each side. Sorry I've nothing else good to say, I guess I was overwhelmed. They do have some nice malls though, if you've been dying for some western comforts that is, they even had a Marks and Spencer!
