Today we chilled out by the beach and sipped on fruit juices. Ani, Ally and I decided to play cricket on the beach which attracted the attention of a few locals because of the game and the colour of our skin. My local admirers were struggling to get me out and before we knew it more locals had joined in to try and get me out...but they still failed and received much abuse from their friends apparently shouting "c'mon she's only a girl" in Sinhala. Eventually they got me out and I cooled off in the sea where a local was repeatedly asking Emily is she spoke Singalese but didn't seem to understand her "No". Ally told the locals inquiring about us that we were their sisters and with the knowledge that we were not their wives they began to serenade us. This involved singing provocative Singalese songs towards us, staring at us and dancing. Which after some alcohol became doing multiple somersaults into the ocean, spinning each other round and throwing them into the ocean, then doing headstands with legs sprawled whilst others somersaulted through them....then we left the beach for Galle. In Galle we saw the lighthouse, cricket ground, clock tower and walked along the fort.  We drank "the best tea in town" and caught the last of the sunset before dining in a $1,000 dollar a night any backpacker would do.

Haha, this is brilliant, I can't believe you had men doing somersaults just to impress you! Did it work I wonder?? I imagine a man would have to do a lot more than that to win you over Sarah, he'd at least have to wrestle sharks and beat you at a fast-talking competition. I don't think men like that exist.
My american friend insists that rolypolies are somersaults and somersaults are forward flips and woodlice are rolypolies. These americans are crazy.
