Again we stayed in the same hostel.  Since the town doesn't have much to do, most of us stuck around the pub for karaoke night.

It was also one of the guy's birthdays.  It turned out to be a really fun and ridiculous night.  The tour guide and some others made a trip to the local supermarket and bought James, the birthday boy, a cake.  They also bought him a giant leek.  Leeks are a symbol of Wales.  They grow a lot of leeks around here and are very proud of it.  You can buy giant inflatable leeks to take to rugby matches among other things.

I, personally, didn't know what the hell a leek was.  But it seems basically like an onion, which became quite clear when they took the leek and turned it into a necklace for James.

Here's his lovely outfit.

Karaoke was...interesting.  There were some VERY strange locals there, including one who, sadly, thought he could both sing and dance.  Think William Hung and American Idol.  I have a video of karaoke that I'll upload.  At one point, when I'm filming James and Tam, look in the background as I'm also trying to catch this guy and his "sweet" dancing moves without him knowing.
