...You wrap yourself in a decorated sheet and call it an outfit
...You're introducing yourself as an acrobat to avoid another conversation about where you're from
...Because of said introduction you're hiding from an actual acrobat who wants to incorporate you into his act and you're afraid he might make you cartwheel or worse.
...You tell a fairly dramatic sea sickness story, only to be upstaged by a stowaway who sailed from Mozambique to Middlesborough hiding in the bottom of a ship, spent a month in a Durham prison and was then shipped back. (Hostel in Dar es Salaam).
So I'm on my way back to Nairobi to get my flight home, stopping over in Moshi, Tanzania. Kilimanjaro is somewhere around here apparently!
Will arrive at Heathrow on the 23rd which may be my biggest culture shock yet!
Thanks so much for reading.This blog has been a form of therapy and all the messages have really helped me to keep going. Obviously it has't been anything profound and I'm sure it could have been a whole lot more cultured but it's helped me to laugh through the scary and frustrating moments. Luckily I've had some great people to laugh with, who back in February met "a girl who talked an awful lot" but didn't let that put them off!! Thank you!

hahahaha i dont think the acrobat story will ever fail to amuse me!! How funny. Was good to read your free travel stories too! loved the whole thing, what an experience, although you have succeeded in making me very second-home-sick!!
