We ended up staying a week and a half in Koh Tao and then took a one hour boat ride from there to Koh Phangan. Koh Phangan is the birth place of the infamous Full Moon Party.

We found a really remote beach and hotel on the more northern part of the island. Because its still sort of the off season the place was virtually empty with the swimming pool to ourselves. We met some great people there and just relaxed for a few days. We rented scooters a few times to explore the rest of the island too. I did a lot of walking up the hills since some areas are just too steep for 2 people on a bike. Yesterday we got caught in a storm on our way back... rain, lightening and thunder... kind of scary but we missed the most of it.

So the bungalow that we had at this place was really cheap, therefore pretty basic. The roof was just bamboo and a bit of wood so lots of different critters can get in. Well lastnight I was inthe bathroom when I heard something moving onthe roof. I looked up and right above my head was a HUGE hairy, disgusting spider the size of Will's fist. I think I probably scared it more with my scream then it scared me. Our friends who had a bungalow next to us could hear me.... we all had a good laugh but it definately made for a restless night on my part.

Today we moved to a different beach called Haadrin, where the Full Moon Party takes place. Its definately more touristy and busy and a bit more exciting.
