So we have officially had enough of the apple business because Will dreamt of them lastnight!! We will stay until the 10th of April and then it will be time to move on. Until then, we will be trying to work as many 12.5 hr shifts as we can handle.

We had a nice weekend away though. Eight of us from the "batch" went for a little road trip together. Friday night, after work, we all drove 4 hrs to the town of Kaikoura, on the east coast. Its a small town, right on the ocean, and it was beautiful. Its really popular for whale watching tours and swimming with dolphins but its pretty expensive. Will and I opted for the cheap route and walked the beaches for hours instead. The weather was hot and sunny so it was perfect. There was also tons of seals around, our German friends who had never seen seals were pretty excited.

Crayfish are really popular in Kaikoura. They are just like lobsters but they don't have the big front pinchers. We were hoping to try one but once we saw the price tag, we changed our mind. We stopped at a road side fish BBQ place where we thought we could get some decent priced seafood, but the cray fish started at $58 each! We had some local mussels and some sort of white fish and it was delicious.

We all stayed at a hostel in Kaikoura that had a heated swimming pool and a hot tub. So it was a nice break to get out of our little town for the weekend.

Wes decided to cut his trip short by a few weeks and headed home last week. We were sad to see him go since we have all had a great time travelling together over the last 2 months, but it will be nice to just travel with the two of us for awhile.

This weekend we are planning on doing a hike and spending some time on the beach. Its definately autumn here now, so we need to make use of the nice weather while its still here.

P.S. I finally posted the video of me on the Giant Swing in Queenstown.... its on the "Born to be wild" entry.

Sarah and Will in the land down under
Hi Will and Sarah,
Pat is so excited about selling and moving to a simpler place and talks about it everyday, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day he calls from work. He feels lighter and freer. He's also so happy (and me) for you and Sarah exploring the beautiful earth together. I look forward to your writings and photos every week. We also look forward to hooking up with Sarah's Mom and Dad pretty soon. We are going to treat them to a nice meal! The photos are beautiful! Happy Easter and lots of love from me and Pat. xoxoxoxoxo
