24th Nov
Crossing the border from Singapore was painless and the bus journey to Melaka was really comfortable especially with the air conditioning. When we arrived in the town we took a cab to the guesthouse and chilled for a while as it was very hot and humid out and we were struggling abit.
That night we had a craving for western food so we found a nice italian restaurant and splurged a bit there.
25th Nov
We got up late and set about sightseeing taking in the Dutch period buildings - Stadthuys, the St. Paul's Church ruins, and a weird museum dedicated to the different cultures around the world obsessions with mutilating themselves in order to look good - Museum Rakyat.
We then visited the huge shopping centre to pick up a new sim card for our phone. Our new number now until we head for Hong Kong will be +60146475768
We had dinner in a makeshift chinese restaurant where we just sat down and were brought food (there was no menue and they didn't speak English and we didn't speak Malay but it was niceish.
That night the heavens poored down upon us as we walked back to the guesthouse.
26th Nov
Had a relaxing day chilling out walking around Chinatown and seeing the town then we took a river boat up the river Sungei and the tour guide showed us places that were used in the film Entrapement with Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones- which was supposed to be set in Kuala Lumpur but was actually set in Melaka.
Next morning we headed by bus to KL
