Sydney, baby!
Entry 48 of 102 | show all | print this entry |
Handily, our hostel was right next to the train station, so quick check-in and got a key card that you needed for every door (including the bathroom!). We had a quick nosey around, including the heated pool & sauna. We tried to do a few adminy things and failed miserably. On the up side, we found the Channel 7 studios, we watched the 4.30 new live. Next door was a shop (hooray!), not as many Home & Away goodies as we would have liked (they are really missing out on us (and other H&A nuts) spending lots of money!). I (Sarah) am now the proud owner of a CTU academy t-shirt, woo! (Jack watch out). We wandered down to the Harbour to get our first look at the Bridge (and the ants climbing it) and Opera House. Seeing as we could not find a public toilet for love nor money, we decided to chance it in the Opera House to see how far we would get before being chucked out (for being common). Luckily, the toilets we right at the top of the stairs. Hands down the poshest toilets we have visited on the trip!! For tea we visited Chinatown (as it was on our doorstep), Aimee had the dodgiest Chicken & Cashew nuts ever (too many nuts apparently), I had a great Beef with chilli peppers. Out of the window we spotted some giraffe (statues), so we went to have our photos with them, but they were fenced off - darn it. We wandered through the main street of Chinatown and marvelled at the gates, on the way back to bed.

It's a brilliant city to visit isn't it? Where ARE the photos girls??? Oh, had a request from a certain you-know-who for photos from Australia Zoo!! ;-) Only certain photos I might add!
Did you take photos in the Opera House? I hear it has had a face-lift since I was last in there, would be nice to see what it looks like now. :-)
Anne :-)
