We arrived in Rainbow Beach at lunchtime and were both delighted to get a bottom bunk. After lunch of fish & chips we wandered along the beach avoiding the 4 x 4's and watching the random waves, we watched them for a while to try and get a random photo, not sure how successful we were though. We sat for a bit on the beach enjoying the surroundings before we off roaded on a geocaching expedition, we searched the bushes for the cache though Sarah did most of the work as I was a bit scared off by the spider webs especially after my previous experiences. Then we went for a long in the sandy woods to look for the second one but failed miserably. We went for cheap pasta in the hostel where we spent the entire meal, dodging ping pong attacks from the Germans!
The next day we waited for our pick up to Fraser Island watching a lot of 4 x 4 trying to guess which was ours. As we waited Sarah got a phone call to tell us that they were running 20 mins late and also that we had been upgraded to the resort for free as there were not enough to go camping whay hey. Soon our tour guide Brendan arrived he was a really nice guy with blonde dreads, real surfer dude. We also met our group Mags (from England) & Alec (originally from Scotland) & an American couple Louanna and Brian. After a lunch break we drove to the get the ferry over to Fraser Island.
