Angkor was definitely on my initial must see list of things to do in Asia. It did not disappoint. It is basically a huge temple and one of the largest religious monuments in the world. The 45 square miles is comprised of TONS of gorgeous temples that feature intricate carvings and beautiful surroundings. We even were able to see where the "Tomb Raider" was filmed.
Ian (this cool New Zealand guy) and I spent two days walking around all of the various temples. We attempted to see sunset from an abandoned temple but the sunset wasn't very good because it was the rainy season. I really can't accurately describe what we saw and I don't think the pictures paint a very good picture either.
The town of Siem Reap was so much fun. I met up with my crazy English girls and we had a few great nights out. The town had probably the best collection of restaurants that I have seen so far on my travels. Seriously, they had every type of cousine imaginable.
