I booked a $1 ticket on Naked bus to Milford Sound from Queenstown. They have one $1 fare on every daytrip and bus. Everyone else paid $142 for the exact same experience. We started early (6:50 AM) and the drive was long (4.5 hours) but definitely worth it. Looking out the window, I felt like I was staring at a set off of Lord of the Rings.  I can't even begin to express how beautiful the drive was from Queenstown to Milford Sound.

When I got on the bus I saw Ori from Israel. I have bumped into him in three different cities. Great minds think alike because we seem to always book the same trips. It was nice knowing someone on the bus. Our driver, Lester, from Milford Sound Select was awesome. He was very excited and full of information. He also allowed us to stop quite a few times to take pictures or take short walks. This made the bus ride fly by. We were able to stop over at Mirror lake which was amazing. He also stopped at this stream that was the purest water I have ever seen. I drank right out of stream itself. Many people filled up their water bottles to take some back because it was so good.

We arrived to the wharf around 1:00. Our driver drove us to a place where we could get an excellent picture of Mitre Peak which is one of the tallest mountains in the world to rise directly from the sea floor. We got on our boat and headed out into the water. The views were amazing. The land was completely untouched by humans. I saw a ton of seals and lots of huge waterfalls. The boat ride was definitely worth it.

Ori
I would make sure it is okay with your parents before you bring back a guy from Israel from your trip IMO. Sounds like you having fun, good work!
