After being rudely woken at 4:22am by loud council workers and an idle threat of the police (just cause we threaten to sue her for legging her dogs crash into our van!), we got up and had some breakfast. It is broad daylight at 4am in this part of the county and dark by 6pm, it's really putting our body clocks out we're ready for bed by 7pm!
Along the river in Noosaville they have a series of exercise machines set up, so we decided to have an early morning workout. It was fab!
We then headed for Noosa main beach for a chill in the early morning sun. We both fell asleep. After our kip we decided to hire a paddle ski. Neither of us had tried it before and how difficult could it be? Hhhmm Well the first 10 mins were spent trying to get on the damn thing! Once on we both fell off a soon as a wave came near us. About 30mins into it we were kinda getting the hang of it and surfing the waves into the shore... trying to mind all the kids that had suddenly turned up. I swear some people have no brains... we purposefully kept far away from the swimming flags so as not to hit anyone and all these parents kept putting their little ones right in our path!
Once it got too crowded in the water we decided to make sand sculptures (I made a crab) and then I buried Donovan up to his knees in the hole he had made.... What is it with guys and digging holes at the beach?
After a very fun morning at the beach we decided to go find a caravan park for the night. Whilst we were showering, not even 10m's away a traffic warden was issuing us with a parking ticket and we didn't even notice! Since we'd already been issued with the ticket we figured we may as well make the most of it so we left the van parked up and went for a wander round the town. When we got back there was a big commotion. A King Brown snake had made it's way down to the beach! A guy had caught it by the tail and keeping it at length with this parasole pole.. genius!! The lifeguard was calling for an esky to put it in. The snake escaped his clutches twice. I don't know who moved quicker, the snake or the crowd! Finally a woman produced a drawstring bag and the snake was safely captured.
It's Halloween and I have not seen hide nor hair of it. No trick or treaters at the Caravan Park!
