Yesterday was our last day in Cairns. We decided to hire a car and have a drive around the hinterlands. As we made our way out of Cairns driving towards the mountains, we spotted a couple of Roamfree.com billboards (that's the company we used to work for). We drove up the mountain to the little town that I had visited a couple of days before, Yungaburra. It was so quaint, very old style Queenslander type buildings. We were chatting to one of the ladies from the town when someone else phoned up to let them know that the outside phone lines had gone down, no internet or calls outside the town..... how cute is that?

The highlight of our trip was definitely finding the waterfall at Milla Milla. You park up and wander down some steps; as you come round the corner there is a gorgeous little garden in the sun and at the end of it is a simply stunning waterfall flowing into a small pool. We jumped into our togs and dived into the water for a splash around in the waterfall. We checked with the tourist office first that there were no Croc's!!!

In the afternoon we stopped off at The Falls teahouse for homemade scones and jam... delicious!

It's about 7am and we are due to jump on the bus to Mission Beach soon. Tell you more about it when we get there.....
