Sorry it´s taken me so long to get round to doing this travel blog thingee, and to warn you this pc has a really dodgy keyboard that keeps sticking and I keep swearing at it (in spanish ofcourse).
Well I think most of you know what I got up to in Buenos Aires. God it is an amazing city, my kind of place. Interesting culture, good music, sexy dancing and great people. I must have walked the entire city abot 100 times. I even took the subway, god that was hilarious. San Telmo district had an amazing antiques market and there were lots of things going on, tango dancing in the streets and lots of musicians doing their thing.
My favourite part of BA was La Bocca. All the buildings are painted these amazing bright colours, and theres an amazing aptmosphere. More tango dancing and gorgeous things to buy. I even had my photo taken with Maradona! Also some guy stopped me and asked me to have his babies (mind you it was in spanish, so I may have translated it incorrectly...maybe his was just asking for directions...oh well).
I ofcourse went to Recoletta and the cemetry,,,and said hello to Eva Peron. I was dying to sing a few lines from Evita but everyone looked quite serious...so I thought better of it.
Left BA on Wed on a bus headed for Puerto Madryn, Patagonia on Atlantic Coast. Really relaxing town. Seen lots of wildlife in Punto Tombo and the Peninsula Valdes, including walking amongst thousands of penguins, watching sea lions and spotting 3 Orcas....which was really amazing! The rest of the time, I´ve been hanging out at the beach and getting sun burnt (got lots of white bits).
I´ve met loads of people from all over the world but hardly anyone from UK. I hung out with a really nice girl from Canada, Tracey. She´s a great drinking partner and will definantly keep in touch with her.
Foods not great, lots and lots of meat! But was invited to a barbeque the other night with some locals and the food was gorgeous...but again I have never eaten so much meat in my life! I´ll look like a cow by the time I finish this trip.
Leaving tomorrow to take another 18 hr bus to get to Ushaia, which is basically the end of the world, after that it´s antarctica. Lots to do and see there, including mountains, lakes and glaciers. So should be good.
That´s it for now xx
