Yesterday, I spent some time in search of the perfect, low-priced MP3 player, but to no avail. The rest of the day, I spent wondering around blustery Hamburg taking photos of historical and stereotypically German looking buildings in the awful lighting. Still it was beautiful. By sunset I had made it to the harbor to catch a few shots of a brightly glowing pink horizon of the water. Before the light waned, I saw much along the waterfront ahead of that I would still like to see today, one of my many missions.

When it got dark, I headed back to central station in order to catch a bus at 8:31 to meet Fabian for another German Birthday party. I arrived at the bus station just in time to be 15 minutes late, so I made the 1€ call to tell Fabian not to hurry to pick me up. A half an hour later, we met at the predetermined bus stop and walked the rest of the way to the party.

This German Birthday party was much different than the last, there were many more people there and it consisted of 50% swing dancers so it was easier to mingle and it eventually collapsed into a birthday jam and all out swingin'.

After the party had died down, Fabian agreed to show me around the infamous Reeperbahn, known world-wide for its late night clubbing circuit with a pleasant touch of all out sex industry; namely strip clubs, sex shops, and prostitutes. I wasn't too interested in the latter(beyond a moribid curiosity), neither was Fabian, but, it is said, that one cannot leave Hamburg without at least a taste of this racy, red-light nightlife, so we went. We spent an hour wondering up and down neon lit streets and alleyways and briefly joined the atmosphere of two local favorite bars, before heading home and hitting the sack no earlier than 2:30. Poor Fabian, had to work this morning, what a champ!

Today, is another day out on the town; tourist by day and "intriguing foreigner" by night. I have decided to stay another night in Hamburg, to spend a little more time with my new friends, Fabian and Arne, see more of Hamburg and attend a tap show and dance with a live band. My new, but ever-amendable-"plan" is to leave early tomorrow morning to catch the cheap fair bus to Berlin (19€) and spend the day with Nadav. We'll see how that goes.

Well, better go, the sun is out, finally, and Hamburg awaits.
