Today I brought some hostel guests (Dan, Laura and Hannah) down town to watch a flamenco performance then caught a bus to check out Granada's La Ferial for Corpus Christi which has been going on all week. We ate Tapas, meandered in and out of casetas (pub tents), watched locals dance the Sivillana, and weaved our way between traditionally dressed men and women on spangled horses. Then we caught the bus home and went grocery shopping and I took leave of them to buy a phone from Vodafone before walking a mile to plaza nueva then hiking the massive hills of the Albicin to get back to the hostel.
Now, I think I will hike up Sacramonte and scale the wall to watch the sunset then maybe return to la Ferial tonight or maybe go Salsa dancing with some of the dancers I met the other night at Mi Havana.
