I write to you now from a bus stop in Faro, Portugal, after a regretably late start to my day. I awoke in the peaceful city of Faro, Portugal yesterday 4:30PM with a gasp discovering I was the only soul left on the previously crowded bus from Albufeira. My anxiety was quickly quelled as the bus turned into a station that was clearly labeled FARO

(Quick update, I am now aboard the bus to Ohlão after hovering awkwardly around several incorrect buses. And an elderly lady in the front has caused me to ponder with simmering annoyance(for the 72nd time since my arrival in Portugal) why it is that Portugese people insist on having all conversation one level under shouting...(just a thought "Chat amongst yourselves.")

Anyway, after custard filled croisant and cafe con liete break in the bus station, I followed the directions in my "Lets Go" guide to the Turismo office where they gave me a map and outline the directions to my hostel in the manner they usually do, by marking the route with black pen that crosses out the names of the essential streets in your directions.

Another update: I missed my bus while writing this, luckily the bus recircled back to my stop or the bus driver dropped me off there out of kindness.

I have eaten my lunch of a roll some cured ham, butter and aricot yogert left over my free breakfast at the hostel that I had intended to save to eat in the sun in the national park in the cold shadows of the Olhão bus station before hoppng aboard a mini city bus that seems to be correct though I'm not 100% sure because no one speaks eglish in this little town....luckily they speak SPANISH and I... pretend to speak spanish so it appears as though I'm headed in the right direction.
