I ended up finding an American plug adapter, charging it at a bar then crossing the street to call Felipe. I got in touch with him and he said heīd meet me at paradise in half an hour I picked up my bags to head to Paradise when I bumped into a man heading to the cash machines. It was Felipe!!! He had parked right in front of the phone booth to talk to me. Devine intervention?... He hooked me up with his friends and coworkers, Roberto and Jao Dao (thats my invented Portuguese version of John Doe as he has asked that I not use his real name to protect the innocent). And now I am living gratis on their futon. They've been quite the hosts taking me around and introducing me to the locals and insisting on paying for my meals with them. During the day I hit the beach, and at night I hang out with the locals who work in the bars. Its fun and relaxing, but I donīt think I can stay here very long. Albufeira has no soul, like las vegas. I think I will stay here a few more days just to get my plans together then head back to the land of my heart, Espana! I just received an email from Granada asking when and for how long I could work there. So we'll see if that works out. It would be great fun and a money saver while I practice my spanish and wait for Herrang to begin. Just wanted you to know I was safe and happy. I will let you know when my plans or coordinates change.
