Woke up for free breafast today.
Headed down to the beach.
Slept in the sun for a while.
Went back to the hostal and passed out again for a while. I think I was oversunned and underwatered.
Made myself some soy pasta for dinner.
Headed out again to check out these cliffs Lagos is famous for.
Missed the turn and found myself on a small overpass that crossed over the top of a restaruant.
The restaurant caught my interest because it had ramshackle aviary out the back.
And on the top there was a little baby chickadee bird that was stuck in the netting
I decided to go help it.
I had to climb a small wall and reach over barbed wire
The bird was in the middle of the netting so I had to pull the netting to reach it
It was barely in reach when an old woman came out of the restaurant and started yelling NO! and wagging her finger at me.
I tried to explain to her that there was a bird stuck on her aviary, but I think she just thought I was crazy and was excitedly talking about the fact theat there were birds in the aviary. Anyway, she just gave me a wierd look and mentioned something about the policia so I said Desculpa and left.
Im bummed out I couldn-t help the little guy, but I thought it was wise not to have any confrontations with Southern Portugal Policia, lest I become an amnesty candidate.
