Following lunch Claudia and I drove north towards the hills and one of the many winery areas. We ascended the forest hills and parked the car to go for a walk in the beautiful forest. It was chilly and the sun peeked through the canopy as we cruised along a path. See photos.
At the top of the hill was a pub (nice and warm inside) and the most amazing view of the Baden Wuttemberg region. So, after ein stuck apfel kuchken (one piece of apple cake) and peppermint tea, we watched the sun set through autumn clouds, a strong orange colour and descended to the comforts of the car and headed for St. Martins to find a winery pub. The streets are so cosy and we will definately go back because there are heaps of little pubs hiding around each corner.
We found this little pub and bought a wine each, which we struggled to finish, so added some garlic bread to the ordeal. I even ordered in German, something I am trying more and more now and different shops. Check the photos. Check the lyrics.
