Great! Some human contact after nearly three weeks on the island. Sunlight! Good food!

I've been mainly surfing here, although the waves are heavy (I snapped a leash on my first day).

I managed to borrow a guitar and I had a little session at an open-mike night in a local bar. I also went walking in in the forest up to some spectacular waterfalls. I have been hanging out with Aussies, Kiwis, Americans and Catalans mainly.

I guess this isn't the most interesting entry I've written but I am enjoying myself, doing very little and recharging batteries and reconsidering travel plans. Watch this space...

Terrific to read your latest entries Sam. Although I am glad that I did not know about your isolated existence on the island and the difficulties escaping, until after the event.
