We spent three days on this pretty island. Ometepe from the side looks like a pair of giant breasts protuding out of the waters of Lake Nicaragua. It is formed by two volcanoes that, during our stay, were covered in cloud.

Not to worry; the place in itself is relaxing, and not seeing the volanoes was a small price to pay as the friendly, laidback locals more than made up for it. Eunate and I hired bicyles and explored the beaches and villages over a couple of days.

A beautiful relaxing escape from hectic Rivas over the waters.
