A beautiful long beach, backed by lush rainforest, inhabited by howler monkeys, lizards, all sorts of crazy triffid-like plants, sloths, coatis, squirrels, colourful birds, and also an invasive species of North American primate known as gringus living-the-dreamus. 
"So there I was, working 9-to-5 in New Jersey, and one day I just dropped it all and came here. Now I can surf and drink every day, and I don't even have to learn Spanish". 

Not very original, but they think they are. It's almost endearing...

For those who are interested, the waves at Nosara are awesome.
