I made it safely to my training site. As we arrived in Paraguay there were many people from the Peace Corps here to visit us. It was a nice welcoming. Everything here is green! It is very different than Minnesota. Right now the temperature is extremely hot and humid. I am sweating just typing this...gross! My host family is very nice and understanding. My Spanish is slowly coming back...yay! I had a meeting with a spanish professor and they said I need some review, but I will be ready to start learning Guarani....which is exciting, but scary. Today I tried to wash a few of my clothes...despite the fact that it is really hot, it took me a half an hour to wash 4 pieces of clothing. I guess I need practice with washing too. I´m not sure when or if I´ll be able to use the phone, so for now I will just be emailing. They also said that most packages don´t make it here...so if you are planning on sending me something, it should fit into a padded manila envelope. I´m not really sure what else there is to say...if you have any questions, email me. I will probably be checking this once a week or so.

Hi from CMJC
Hi Sam, We are glad you are doing well however we MISS YOU. Life is insane as usual here...did we say we miss you! So have you experienced any unusual food yet? What is your favorite so far? Tell us about any common cultural art there (yes this is for me Deb :-)
fiber art? beadwork? carving? weaving? I wish I there with you! Hope you get used to the hot humid weather soon...did your trusty purple water bottle make the journey? your body must have had a major shock after leaving here(it was -13 this am)and still not much snow however upstate NY had 10+ feet in the last week...imagine that! well better get back to work
