Had a leisurely morning before heading out to explore the town of Split. Loads of market stalls everywhere selling all sorts, we weaved our way through the crowds to the harbour side. Here we followed the harbour round to where steps led up to a viewpoint high above the town. On such a gloriously clear sunny day we had a great panoramic across the harbour, town and rugged mountain backdrop.

We then strolled through the old town with beautiful old buildings and ruins, very interesting (even for someone who is very uninterested in architecture stuff). We stumbled upon a fresh fish market and chose a couple of good lookin fish to cook up for dinner later and headed back to our apartment. Then Simon gutted the fish (which was pretty gross but kinda fascinating. One of them had a tiny little fish in its stomach that it had obviously just eaten. Fresh!) Then popped them back in the fridge for later.

After some lunch we headed to the beach. Super hot so lots of dips in n out of the sea and some snorkelling in the dreamy water. Once we'd got bored we headed back to the apartment to cook some dinner.

Fish! So we rubbed it in garlic butter n stuck them in the pan (one at a time and they still didn't really fit!) absolutely delicious n so fresh, hats off to the chef! :-)
