Had a chilled morning at the campsite with a trip to the local bakery n cafe for breakfast. I saved half my chocolate croissant to dip into my ridiculously thick and delicious hot chocolate which is more like sipping a melted chocolate bar. Mmmmm! Nutritious start to the day :D

Then hopped on a bus which was to take us to the next big-ish island called Losinj. This took us across the sea on a ferry and then around some stunning scenery- very rugged, rocky and hilly with green trees and lots of exposed jaggedy rocks with a pinkish tinge. And of course, all surrounded by the dazzling turquoise water.

Arrived in Mali-Lonsinj and walked around the harbour to find a campsite. It's an absolutely huge campsite set into the trees and we picked a plot right next to the sea!

First things first, in the sea!! The shore here though is just craggy rocks going into the sea- no slope or soft sand, just razor jagged rocks. So tiptoeing and clambering carefully to the water we dived in! Again we were instantly surrounded by tons of fish and able to see easily to the bottom and right out in front.

Next it was a quick dry off and time to get some dinner, so wandered back into the action. Stopped in a restaurant cos it looked awesome, big palm trees out front n fresh fish. Checked out the prices on the blackboard n seemed ok so took a seat. We were then brought some bread n the waiter (who thought he was really funny) tried to sell us loads of stuff. Which turned out to be rather expensive and posh. Sooooo we walked (/ran) out when he wasn't looking.

Found ourselves a nice cheap cafe n ate there instead. Well, money left over for ice cream then!!

So after a delightful triple scoop Nick suggested a game of each taking 50 kuna (about 5) and had 10 minutes to buy a stupid present for the other person that they then had to wear for the rest of the trip.

So we all dispersed and met back in fits of giggles. Simon had chosen for Nick a 'Croatia' sailor hat, which incidentally Nick had also chosen for me. While I had bought for Simon a red hair band with a big flower on it. He did not find this funny and refused to wear it, thus spoiling the game.

We then sat at one of the bars playing live music (2 really good guys on guitar) before retiring back to our campsite for some kip.
