Passing the magestic Mt Kilimanjaro, we head towards Dar Es Sallam. The city started as a fishing village in the mid 19th century before becoming a port and trading centre.

It is considered to be a less safer place to go out, so for most of the time we were driving through on the bus and we stayed inside the bus sometimes with the windows shut. The bus that we drive or I should say the truck, is called Stevie and our driver (Johan) does not like to call it a bus and he deffinately doesn't like to be called a bus driver! He has made that clear several times on the tour, by walking out and getting really mad at us! :[ Stevie looks like a truck which is covered with all metals you could think of which to me it looks like it is about to go into war. It has a very good security system on it, you get in, you luck the door and you do not get out unless you are told so by Johan or Amos, our tour leader. There are several stories about such trucks being held up by the locals, but you kinda need to take those with a pinch of a salt. We spend majority of our time on Stevie. On average we travel on stevie every day for a bout 7 hours. A few times we have had 13 hour drives, which is not fun!
