Back in Cairo

Steve and I have been reunited! :)

It has been a good week away from Cairo and the manic streets here, but it is also nice to see Steve and hopefully he thinks the same about seeing me! He says of course but I don't like the nervous smile on his face! :)

Today we have spent most of the day running around the streets trying to find exchange office to get some money. Here you can go to any bank and easily change your dollars, but if you need Dollars, God help you! :) We did succeed without having to go to black market. In the process we were approached at least twice by random strangers on the roud. They come up to us and said: Hello Steve...my friend how are you? I was shocked....What have you been up to Steve? was my only response! Well a nice young man like himself, I am not surprised half of the population of Egypt know him by now! But then again he has been roped into buying stuff from the shops twice now! :) They are very crafty, they come to you all nice and happy and then they ask you where you are staying, after that they say: oh by the way my friend, have you been to this shop or that shop and then before you know it, you are inside drinking tea and have a few itmes purchased from them!

Lucky for me, poor Steve has been down this road and he now knows how to deal with them very well! Not us anymore! :)

We are in Cairo tonight until midnight at which time we are travelling to Dahab, on an overnight bus. We will get to Dahab, early hours of tomorrow morning. We will be there for couple of days. Can't wait. Really need to relax.
