Hello Jordan

This morning we left Syria and entered Jordan, via the city of Amman. Jordan is extremely westernised. From the moment we entered the visa and passport control office, you could see the changes in cars, shops and even the people. Amman is a very big city. Our hotel is a very simple hotel, but to be honest for Steve and I, it looks impressive, considering the last few places we had stayed in! Unfortunately our hotel directly faces the Intercontinental hotel, on the other side of the road, which looks so impressive. We are trying to use our charm and try to get in that hotel for breakfast! Good luck to us I would say! I am so sick of the breakfasts we have been having, it has been the same thing everyday, for the last three weeks. Bread, butter and jam. If we are lucky we get a different type of bread and sometimes eggs, which half the times I am so worried about food poisoning that I don't eat it! I miss milk so much. And my porridge and anything that doesn't look like jam! :(
Today was a great day tho. As soon as we checked in, Steve, Nick, Lance and myself headed out to the golden arches of MC! I cannot tell you how happy I was to have a big mac. All four of us sat down and ate like we have been deprived of food for the last 2 weeks. It was so nice. The processed meat and processed cheese has never tasted this great before, not to mention the special sauce! We ofcourse had Ice cream! I cannot tell you how happy I am. And my stomach. On the way back to the hotel, our taxi had a flat tyre! Nothing to do with us and our bellys full of MC ofcourse! :)
Here it is a lot more expensive than Syria. The exchange rate is roughly 1.34 JD to 1 pound. Tonight we are going to watch the England and Equadore game! More thumbnails ...
