So first thing this morning, we packed up all of our stuff in preparation for checking out and headed downstairs to the kitchen to grab some breakfast, we wouldn't normally eat in the hostel kitchen as we have found most of the ones we've stayed at to be quite dirty, however, the girl guide troop that has been staying here, cooked everyone in the hostel pancakes for breakfast, the only catch was that you had to chat to a guide whilst you were eating... it was a compromise I was willing to make!

We checked out and dumped our bags in the luggage room, before heading over to Lake Michigan and the Shedd Aquarium, yet again those of you that know me, know how little I like places such as this, and even more so how I loathe standing in queues... Well let me tell you, this queue was epicly massive, I just didn't understand, it was only an aquarium for jeez sake, but I just it was the weekend...

Once we finally reached the front doors, we decided to pay a little bit extra and go and watch Spongebob Squarepants 4-D, I thought I should get some excitement out of this visit too! The show was good, it could have been longer though I feel. The aquarium was good I guess if you like that kind of thing and they did have a pretty cool exhibition on the Amazon basin that I enjoyed, but I guess it is each to her/his own isn't it?

When we had looked at everything we headed back to the hostel, past the largest fountain in the US, or the one that holds the most water at least or something, it was typically being refurbed though so was empty... We grabbed our bags, hailed a taxi and headed to the train station for our 3pm train to Flagstaff.

As we checked in we decided to book all our transport up until we got to San Francisco so that what happened in Niagara Falls didn't happen to us again. So that is a massive weight off my mind, the only thing still weighing it down now, is how on earth I am going to manage to sleep on the darn train :-( as its a very long journey.

As I write this I can see the sun setting over the Mississippi River, I like that, and I can't believe how big it is
