Firstly, I tried to get money out of the cashpoint again, and again it wouldn't work, so I had to call Nationwide. I of course got the standard response of "theres nothing wrong with your account" oh really then why is my card not working? It turned out after loads of to-ing and fro-ing that all the Nationwide cashpoints in the UK were down for maintenence that day so it was probably something to do with that... hmmm I blame Canada, just like South Park tells me too!!! lol
Then we booked our bus to Buffalo, as no trains go direct to Chicago from NF, with no problems, and it turns out that I can use my card when paying with it just not get cash out..
Once that was booked, another call to Amtrak was made just to make sure that we could get the train to Albuquerque on Saturday, which we could, so we booked it, and then headed out as we still had a few hours to kill before our bus was due to come and pick us up.
We headed back down to the falls and took loads of pictures, we were going to do some of the activities but they are just too expensive and we didn't really have the time to do them properly either. The falls do look stunning during the day though.
Pretty soon it was time to head back to the hostel to pick up our bags and head to the bus stop where we'd be picked up from.
The journey to Buffalo took longer than I thought it would because you have to fully go through customs when you get back to the border with the USA
Once at the bus station, we picked up our Greyhound tickets and waited. For about 4 hours. Our bus wasn't leaving Buffalo until 11.45pm! talk about overnight! and then when it did come we couldn't even sit together as the bus was packed, I was sat with a guy that said nothing to me for the whole journey and Rach, who was sat behind me, was sat with an elderley ish woman that wouldn't shut up for the first hour of the journey :-)
We had ten hours of this ahead of us... who knew the States was so vast
