Having flown to San Pedro Sula and spending a night, I headed over to the Bay Islands.  So hot and humid!  No sooner had I got off the boat and found a place to stay, I ran straight into Aidan, one of the irish guys we spent the last month in South America with, and Sopie, an English girl they had been travelling with.  Turns out the whole lot were here!  And it was an English guy they had mets birthday so it turned into a bit of a funny and drunken evening!  However before that I signed up with a dive centre to do my PADI Open water dive certification.  Was meant to start the next afternoon but  luckily I didnt end up starting until the next day.
The Bay Islands is a proper little Carribean paradise. The water is so warm and clear.  And it is roasting.
Went to the beach in the morning the next day before starting the course as had almost an entire book to read before we started carribean paradise, view from our apartment.

 !  And then I started the course.  And that is basically how I have spent the last week, diving.  It is great though, wasnt too sure on our first dive but after that is was great.  Although really dont enjoy some of the exercises you have to do, like removing your mask and then replacing and clearing it, and doing emergency ascents for incase you run out of air, you have to breath out the entire way! Its so difficult!
But I am know officially a certified PADI Open Water Diver.  Yippee!
Tommorrow I am getting up very early to catch the 6.20 am boat back to the main land to head up to Guatamala.  Again, I will post photos as soon as I can.
