Well I am now re-writing this as just managed to erase a whole load!
Arrived in La Paz and after going round lots of hostels we ended back at the first one, a place called Adventure Brew. So called because the owner brews in house beer which you get free, but is totally undrinkable!  Spent evening in the bar, and although was determined for an early night, ended up going out to a place called Mungos.  Great night but suffered in the morning.
Got up the next day feeling rubbish and had the free pancakes before having to move to a different part of the hostel down the road.  I went straight back to bed.  When I got up I sat and watched a film caled butterfly effecty, was really good.  I then went to meet Gemma and we booked to do a tour in the jungle on Sunday.  That evening we went to a really cool bar called Sol y Luna and met up with Jo and Fraser, from home!  They are out here on a 2 week holiday meeting Jo,s sister who is travelling after working in Columbia.  Was so good to see them and had a really fun night.
Next day moved to a really cool hostel called Loki.  Spent the day wondering around the markets before having an early night as had a very early start the next morning.
The reason for this was to do the bike ride down the worlds most dangerous road! EEk!  And yes parents I thought I would wait until afterwards to tell you!  Jo and raser told me there had been a big newspaper article about 2 weeks before because of the Israeli guy.  But if you know the full story as to why he died you know he was being a complete idiot!
Met up with my group at 7.30 am and we got the bus up to the start.  The first 20km is all tarmaced,  not the actual road, part of the new road.  But still very fast and winding.  Scenery was amazing but you couldnt really look because you had to watch the road.  Then there is a big 5km uphill section. Which might not sound that much but when you are 4500 meters up it is impossible!  I made it half way before getting in the support bus.
Afer that, you get to the top of the actual road.  All I can say is that it 100% deserves its name!  Absolutely terrifying!  3 people fell off on our group, I had 2 very near misses.  Its so scary but totally worth doing!  The day ended in a monkey sanctuary!  Was great, one of them stole the really annoying guy from Bristols cigarettes! Ha!
So I did the Worlds Most Dangerous Road and survuved!  But was totally exhausted.  When I got back I went to Sol y Luna because Gemma was there with Neimh, from Rio etc.
We then went back and had drinks at the hostel.
On Saturday we went to a bar called Olivers Travels and had a full on fry-up!  Was great.  And then spent the afternoon watching all the football.  The early evening was spent playing cards with the reish guys, who 2 nights before had been robbed and knifed by 3 guys who jumped in their taxi and took them to the middle of nowhere!  Have to say here is the first place I have actually felt a bit unsafe, alot of similar stories from people.
We then had a massive mexican feast at the hostel before heading out to a place called RamJam.   Was alright, but the name says it all!
Sunday morning got up, and got ready to leave to go the Rurrenebaque to do the jungle, but were told all the flights were cancelled, for the 3r day in a row!  So instead we just had a very lazy sunday chilling out.
Its now Monday morning and are waiting to see if we will make it there today!
