Well we arrived in Bolivia and instantly it felt like real South America.  We caught the bus to a little town called Tupiza.  The whole journey felt like I was in the film Babel, especially with the panpipey style music.  ( For anyone who hasnt seen Babel, dont bother, one of the worst films I have ever seen).  The town is tiny, it took us about 10 mins to walk around the entire thing.  Went for yummy pizza for dinner, and actually ended up there the night after aswell.  Cant quite get over how cheap Bolivia is.  Hostels costing 1.50 a night, and can go out for big dinner with wine for about 2.50!
On the Tuesday Gemma went of to do horseriding.  Obviously I did not do that!  Instead I took myself of on a hike along the river.  Very unlike me I know, but was really good.  Saw all the locals pickking corn and stuff.  Ended up waling about 20km I think, bout 6 hours!  See the video.  Was totally isolated, and by the end exhausted!
On the wednesday we went to another hotel in town and paid 10 boliviano, bout 80p, to use their pool for the day.  So litterally just sat by the pool in the sun all day.  Well desreved after the excursion the day before.
The next morning we got up and got ready in a relaxed manner before going to the bus station, next door, to book a bus for that day to go to Uyuni.  Got to the station and the only bus was leaving in 5 minutes!  So legged it back to the hostel checked out and ran back to the station to catch the bus.
The bus started off quite nice, was an actual bus.  We then arrived in town called Atocha, and had to wait for 3 hours for the next ībusīto take us to Uyuni.  Sat around waiting with 3 swedish guys.  When the bus finally arrived it was actaully a standard cheap which we had to cram 10 people into for a 2 hour journey!
