Where I stayed
We saw all the sights: Lombard street (the crookedest street in the world), Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 (really nice pier on the bay - with great views to Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge). They also have wild sealions sunbathing - so Sally was happy! We walked around Golden Gate Park and Haight street (recommended by Russ), which is really different to the rest of the city - reminded us of Camden.
One day we took a ride on one of the cable cars - was hilarious, Sach was literally hanging on to the front of the cable car as we sped up and down the hills - really fun
Monday 15th was the long awaited Segway Day! Basically a tour of the city on electrically motorised scooters (check pics) was so much fun. Had such a laugh on them trying to break the speed limiter and it was a great way to see the city with our tour guide Johannes - legend. We were pros by the end of it - see the photos for proof.
The following day we biked the Golden Gate Bridge, which took longer than expected due to the heat and Sally refusing to bike the steeper hills. It was well worth it for the views of the city and was an accomplishment.
Overall we had a wicked week in San Francisco - the weather was lovely and had a lot of fun doing the activities. We are both keeping well and can't believe we've been touring California for over a month now! Still loving it - wishing you were all out here too.
Next stop Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara (beach towns) before heading to San Diego for a week!
Love from Sally and Sach (hope you are still enjoying the blog!) X
