After 15 long months departure day is finally here. As I type this it is 12:35am and I just finished packing. I have packed and repacked at least four times in the past 24 hours. My plan was to pack light but that hasn't happened.
Our plane leaves St.Louis at 1:00pm and we will arrive in Kiev Monday at 11:10am. Our appointment date at the adoption center is Wednesday. Please pray that we find our child at this appointment. A second appointment would add at least another week to our trip. I spoke with the adoption agency today and she said that we are lucky because the director of the adoption center is in the US right now and her associate is much easier to work with.
I'm already missing my puppies and we haven't even left yet. They are snuggled up next to me on the couch sound asleep.
I found this verse in Isaiah and thought it was appropriate for our trip.
I will bring your children from the East and gather you from the West. Isaiah 43:5
As soon as we get settled in our apartment and get the computer up and running, I will post again to let everyone know we made it there.
